TEAT BEAT OF SEX: EPISODES 8, 9, 10, 11

To call Teat Beat Of Sex educational would be a misnomer, however this remarkable animation is an intimate look into the sexual awakening of a young girl trying to come to terms with her sexual identity.  The narration is so honest and real that it is easy to identify with, man or woman.  We see the heroine through her first French kiss, dry humping and make out session, first rejection and finally the loss of her virginity from an older man. 

The animation is fluid and trippy.  It looks hand-drawn, whether it is or not I could not say.  The colors are muted and recall the uncertainty of growing up unsure of sex.  The vibrancy surrounds the heroine just out of reach.  I love the quirky details in the animation:  the use of corpses copulating, lizard tongues, and the sex ship keep the animation surprising and inventive.

Ms. Baumane worked with the master of animation Bill Plympton in the beginning of her career.  I see her career going into the same direction.
