BLACK
Directed and Written by Nathan and Seth Anderson
Review By Shane Morton

Shot in black and white across a beautiful landscape, BLACK is an almost experimental narrative that delves into the bad fortune of a man and his psychic girlfriend. What happens is bizarre, engrossing and thrilling short filmmaking.
The short is well acted by Robert McAtee and Seriina Covarrubias. And the Andersons script is inventive and full of mystery. For those of you who like to think and question a film, this is for you. The camera work and editing on the film at times has a very experimental feel. However, the heart of the film lies in its classic narrative storyline. You can only run so far and so long before fate and the truth will find you. There are some stunningly beautiful and haunting visuals throughout this film. If you see it at a film festival near you. It comes highly recommended.
Congratulations on a fine short gentlemen. The film has played The Fargo Film Festival and our friend Kris Rommel’s Derby City Film Festival in Louisville, KY. This must have shown on the day that I was not there. It’s a shame, as I know this would play best on a big screen. I will be interested to see what the Anderson’s do next!
