BEST OF FEST

An Evening of Independent Film

Presented by Indie Express

At The Victory Theatre Center

Indie Express has teamed up with The Victory Theatre Center, an intimate non-profit theatre company who has been developing new plays, producing world premieres and West Coast premieres of emerging talent for 27 years. We felt it was a good match as it is our goal to explore the breadth of talent in filmmaking, with a special focus on the truly independent filmmaker. We've been in talks with several filmmakers to create a screening series to showcase their films, hence the birth of Best of Fest.

   A film by Bob Gebert

When a time-tumbler, on a mission to capture a sample of today’s air, accidentally lands in the middle of a wedding reception, he discovers that he’s been there all night long. Trouble is, he can only stay for 11 minutes at a time.

His search for why he continues to return, despite personal hardships, becomes obvious when one of the lovely bridesmaids says “yes” to a question that he must have asked previously in the evening. He is determined to find the question to which he already has the answer.

Conceived, written and directed by screenwriter and playwright Bob Gebert, 11 Minutes Ago was shot in one day.

"One of the most creative and smart movies I've seen all year."-- The OC Weekly
