A monster wreaks havoc in modern society.
This was an animation done with pen drawings. Honestly, it was like watching a comic book being shown on TV. Or better yet, seeing the storyboards for a film, and knowing this is as good as it is ever going to get since it will never be shot. I know. It sounds kind of boring, right? Wrong actually. To my pleasant surprise. This film, which had no movement to the animation, was fantastic. The brilliance of this short lies in the editing and “camera” work. Wally Chung should be applauded for his fantastic film.
I was thinking the monster in this film was going to be a dragon. No. It was a flying shark. And this film is truly funny and horrifying all at the same time. An incredible job, with a film that could have easily fell flat. The characters are real and full of passion…. And as for the shark….. Watch out for the sky.
