A dream that you dream alone is still only a dream, A dream that you dream together can be reality.

A young girl is sitting at a window and looking outside with a sense of longing.  She goes in search for people to go outside and play with her.  We see her approach a group of senior citizens.  Grandparents?  Is she at a hospital?  No one will go with her.  As we get a sense of her frustration a man in his thirties approaches the young girl, telling her to behave.  At first you think it is her father but then he calls her mother.  The image of the young girl is replaced by an elderly woman who seems confused.  As she comes to realize the truth of her life and surroundings a young boy comes and says he will play with her.  The two “young at heart” senior citizens go out into the world with a sense of joy.

Wow!  This movie really touched me.  It pulled heart strings without ever getting preachy or saccharine.  The story is a simple slice of life that most people fear they will one day have to live.  A great script and acting elevate this film.  The message is simple.  One day children become the adults and the adults become children.  The role reversal is one that no one looks forward to but somehow always seems inevitable.  This movie captures the truth, beauty and sadness of life.  An incredibly well made film that deserves to be seen by everyone!
