SISTERHOOD

SISTERHOOD is a story of two young women who discover they are half sisters only after their respective mothers are electrocuted by vacuum cleaners.

Of course, the women are total opposites.  Shirley is a sheep shearing tomboy from New Zealand.   Catherine stepped from the fashion pages of an English magazine.

It is Shirley who goes in search of her sister after learning that her farm is about to revert to confidence man, Jack, AKA as Dad. Catherine demands proof. A DNA test resigns her acknowledge bumpkin Shirley.  And then she too discovers her business is about to become the property of long lost Dad.

What results in a bit of a screwball comedy, as the girls try to prove jack is really their father and then catch him at his own game?  Along the way the girls predictably learn to like each other as they work toward a common goal.

This was a fun little piece of fluff with lots of nods to old Hollywood.  It was trite and a bit over the top but I was entertained.
