Winning Project Gets $500 Rental package Courtesy of Indie Rentals
Hollywood, CA ---HollyShorts and actor Jimmy Jean-Louis'("Heroes") non profit organization Hollywood Unites For Haiti (HUFH) (http://hufh.org) are uniting to launch a competition for webisodes where the top projects will be showcased at the 5th Annual HollyShorts Film Festival. The festival takes place August 6-9, 2009 in Hollywood, CA and the winning project will receive a $500 in-store rental package courtesy of Indie Rentals (www.indierentals.com), a quality Los Angeles and Hollywood camera rental provider. The announcement was made today by writer/director and HollyShorts Film Festival organizer.
The filmmakers responsible for the top webisodes will be honored during a special VIP celebration hosted by Royalty Rope Events, HollyShorts and HUFH on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at The Kress, a premiere dining and entertainment venue in Hollywood.
Filmmakers are encouraged to submit webisode pilots, first episodes, and even series as long as the total submission does not exceed 10 minutes.
A portion of the proceeds from the competition will be donated to HUFF, a non profit organization whose mission is to promote sports and cultural activities for the underprivileged youth of Haiti.

The exclusive HollyShorts and Hollywood For Haiti VIP after-party celebration will take place on the rooftop at The Kress overlooking Hollywood. The event will feature a guest list of top talent, special guests and a memorabilia auction with donations going to HUFH.
Deadline for all submissions is May 15, Withoutabox extended deadline is June 5. The standard fee for Webisode submissions is $20 per project. Good luck!
